5-HTP (5-hydroxy L-tryptophan) contains a naturally occurring metabolife of the amino acid tryptophan. 5-HTP is extracted from the seeds of the Griffonia simplicifolia plant. 5-HTP is converted in the brain to serotonin, a neurotramsmitter substance found at the junctions (synapses) between neurons. It produces a calming and relaxing effect providing support to help maintain mental, emotional well-being, and to promote healthy sleep.

Suggested Use
Take one capsule daily, with or without food, or as recommended by your nutritionally informed physician.
Warnings
Not to be used when taking MAO inhibitors, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), or other anti-depressant medications. If should also not be used by individuals taking any of the category of medications known as "triptans." Keep out of the reach of children. Best 5-HTP is tested to ensure that it does not contain "Peak X" Store in a cool dry place.

Sleeping well at last! Oct 12, 2016;I do not sleep well, and I need good quality, restorative sleep for my health. I sleep really well now just taking one capsule when I go to bed. A couple of nights I have not slept well and realized the next morning that I forgot to take my 5-HTTP. They have not caused any problems with any medication I am taking which I had some concerns about when I started. Great product

Feel so good May 06, 2016;This produc is fantastic. i have only been taking it for 3 days and i can already feel the difference. i no longer feel depressed and my panic attacks are gone. it’s the first time in years that i’m anxiety-free and i’m just so glad i came accross these little pills. i had tried everything to get over my clinical depression, from zoloft and xanax to all sorts of therapies and homeopathic remedies… only 5-htp worked for me and it’s the first time i feel ok ever since i remember.

Happier Days! Oct 01, 2016;After much research, I discovered that a combination of 5-HTP and Inositol creates an anti-anxiety effect, similar to that of Prozac (but of course without all of the nasty drug side effects anti-depressants cause). I am the mother of two children under four, and I take one of each in the morning and I find that I am less easily stressed, respond in a much calmer manner and am generally a less anxious person as a result.

Great Daily Supplement Jul 16, 2016;I really noticed when I ran out. I was so cranky and irritable. Then I realized I had run out of my “happy pills”. They certainly keep me in balance when taken daily. No complaints, just need to be consistent.
