What part does the adrenal cortex play in maintaining health? The adrenal cortex is responsible for producing a special group of hormones known as corticosteroids. These hormones are comprised of glucocorticoids, mineralocorticoids, and 17-ketosteroids, and are essential for important homeostatic processes throughout the body. Glucocorticoids are necessary for glucose metabolism and immune function. Mineralocorticoids help maintain healthy electrolyte balance and already normal blood pressure. The 17-ketosteroids are associated with sex hormones produced by the adrenal glands.

Suggested Use

Great for inflammation. On the 4th Month of March 2018; I will always keep a bottle of this just in case. It replaces corticosteroid in my medicine cabinet. What it did to me: flatten my C-section keloid after several days taking it cures eczema attack that usually flares during stressful situation Great natural alternative to steroid 🙂 update: my 5 yo daughter has rather severe eczema on her buttocks, legs, elbow and face. This will flare up especially after eating sugary food. I gave her one capsule (opened and mixed to honey) and the eczema calmed down.

Thorne Adrenal Cortex. On the 13th Month of September 2018; I have used this product for over a year now. It has amazing results and has helped so much with adrenal fatigue. I would recommend it anyone.

Highly recommended! On the 3rd Month of May 2016; As someone with Hashimoto’s I highly recommend this product. It helped my energy levels phenomenally. I no longer needed to nap by mid afternoon and my adrenal fatigue started to improve in the first month. I would recommend at least giving this a try if you aren’t having any luck with dietary changes.

Good Value. On the 26th Month of July 2018; Good source of adrenal cortex. Useful for those under stress to support arsenals. Importantly does not contain adrenal medulla so does not stimulate you excessively or contain adrenaline.

Life Savers. On the 19th Month of August 2017; I was diagnosed with having Adrenal fatigue early this year. I have had it for 15yrs and it was left undiagnosed, with me taking a variety of pills prescribed from the doctor and which had no real effect on my symptoms and when I went on the above supplements in combination with a few others I am now in much better physical and mental health.
